Shields

 

After the movie Wonder Woman was released, I got inspired to try something different. This is one of several shields I created. It is solid iron weighing approximately 23 pounds. The base of the shield is a disc from a large farm machine called a tiller. 

The ornamentation on the front of the shield includes found objects. On the reverse there is a welded iron handle. 

The shield measures 17 inches wide. Iron naturally rusts, and will enhance the look of this post-apocalyptic iron shield.
